On this episode of Yoga | Birth | Babies I am joined by PYC community member, Rachel Eisman. Rachel is a public sector consultant and new mom of two. When she’s not working, she likes writing and reading.

As we dive into Rachel’s birth story, we also revisit her first birth and explore the differences between the two. Rachel shares what she learned the first time around, and how she intentionally applied those insights to her second experience… which ended up unfolding swiftly! I hope you enjoy this exciting and empowering story.

In this episode you will learn about:

  • The difference between her first and second birth- physically and mentally
  • Tools from her first birth that carried over and helped during her second
  • What she would tell someone who’s nervous about their second birth because of a challenging first experience
  • The first signs that things were progressing quickly, and if she realized right away that this birth would unfold differently from her first
  • How she stayed grounded during such an intense and fast experience
  • Her epidural experience, and how it changed her birth experience in any unexpected ways
  • Introducing her son to his new baby sister
  • One final tip or piece of advice Rachel would like to offer new and expectant parents
